Denton Shelter Pets Need Your Help! Every dollar you give goes towards our lifesaving work and allows pets who have lived in unspeakable conditions to receive the medical attention necessary and the love they desperately deserve.

MEET PENELOPE

Penelope is currently at the Denton Animal Shelter with a fractured leg. She needs orthopedic surgery to have pins put in to secure the bone. DASF has committed to covering the cost of surgery so Penelope has a better chance at finding her forever family! Thanks to the generosity from our supporters, Denton Animal Support Foundation can be there when help is needed most. Every donation will provide animals in need of safe shelter, lifesaving medical care, meals to ensure no pet goes hungry, rescue from cruelty and neglect and more.

Any funds raised over the amount needed for surgery, will be put back toward DASF programs.

Happy Tails Stories: Abby

Abby, a 2–5-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix came to the Denton Animal Shelter on August 25, 2022. She was heartworm positive, but has since received her heartworm treatment through the shelter. Sadly, sweet Abby was adopted and returned to the shelter twice before finally finding her forever home on October 14, 2022. Her family originally came into the shelter to visit with another dog but instantly fell in love with Abby once they saw her. Thanks to programs like the DASF Adoption Subsidy program, she now has a family that absolutely adores her.

DASF provides a high level of visibility for shelter pets available for adoption through social media - nearly 230,000 potential adopters are reached annually. Paid ads are purchased automatically for special needs, senior and hard-to adopt pets. DASF volunteers post many pets daily to increase exposure to potential adopters.

Happy Tails Stories: Denver

Denver spent a whopping 135 days at the Denton Animal Shelter before finding his forever family!!! Denver originally came into the shelter on August 17, 2021! He was adopted and returned three times, due to no fault of his own, and he received 4 rounds of paid promotion and multiple adoption subsidy grants to help reach potential adopters. Thanks to DASF Adoption Subsidy and Shelter Pet Marketing programs, Denver now has a stable roof over his head!

Denton Animal Support Foundation is dedicated to keeping your furry friend at home and out of the shelters. By providing assistance for those in need during challenging financial times and increasing awareness, we offer an alternative to surrendering —or worse, abandoning—a family pet.
